It was good to see broad depictions of how people managing dating in their mid life. The characters are familiar — types of people that the audience immediately recognizes — but they are not beholden or confined to their trope. Roger was my favorite character.
What I didn't like
At times, it felt like the show did not trust itself as a sex comedy.
My overall impression
Coffee Date was a lovely hour of perceptive observations and a hefty dose of clever humor! Ultimately, it was a wholesome and kind hearted invitation to search for and find love despite the curve balls life has to throw at you.
