Between Two Worlds: I Wasn't Cancelled..Just Confused (Chronicles of The Not Deaf Enough Girl)

Wow it was brilliant. It moved and surprised me. I've seen Between Two Worlds twice now and the second time hit differently. I noticed more and it touched me in a new way TL is doing something that I found difficult for the shows that I have seen; it made me laugh, broke me heart, and I learned things and it changed my assumptions about d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing identity. A beautiful true story for anyone who has felt othered… I learned so much more about the world of someone who is hard of hearing, and hearing about TL’s life experiences and the impact of how quick as a society we are to judge others on someone was so impactful. It is easy to see why TL was/is referred to as the Deaf Lady Gaga - she is one of those beautiful people born to be on stage. Entertaining but also the story is so moving, I hugged my friend and almost hugged a stranger in the lobby too. Brought up LOTS of food for thought, whether you are in the Deaf world or not. ... full review
