What I liked
Oqalile’s performance was truly unmatched. His ability to change characters both physically and verbally in milliseconds was something incredible to behold. Not to overstate anything here, but it was one of the best stage performances i’ve seen in years. bar none. I work full time at a theater. i frequent broadway performances. this was a notch above the rest.
What I didn't like
the show was incredibly long. with two full solo performances, it stretched on from 9:15 to 11pm. toward the end it was hard to keep focused.
My overall impression
The show was a very interesting and challenging look at the immigrant experience in america. it had nuance and a clear message.
