Great actors, great production, smooth transitions, would translate great on film!
What I didn't like
My only commentary is that I loved the character connections most, and would love to slow the pace of the whole show down in order to experience them on a deeper level. I suppose you’d have to cut some dialogue to do that, but I truly enjoyed the dynamics and energetic tensions/connections they all created together.
My overall impression
Excellent show! Actors were incredible and the show was well written and very relatable. The actors’ comedic timing and improv moments had me belly laughing! And each actor embodied their roles really well, everyone was a joy to watch. Beware of getting called out on your own cringe LA behavior like me… (I went in with some networking materials to pass out and halfway through the show Claudio remarks on how “everyone’s got a networking event for you here!” I died right there in the front row.) I died again when I saw Amy Cosby in her Auntie wig. So many hilarious and wildly uncomfortable moments.
The overall experience of Fulfillment was a total trip. As an LA transplant myself, I laughed inappropriately, felt all the character connections, got real uncomfortable about my own choices, and loved every minute of it. Would definitely go to see it in film form! Bravo to the whole crew!! Beautiful singing voice, CJ!
