Both actors did an incredible job. I was especially impressed by Benjamin J Young’s ability to play so many characters so completely.
What I didn't like
Occasionally noticeable that it was a man writing about his understanding of a woman’s identity. A question for the writer: how are you going to set a play in the 1940s, in the midst of WW2 and Japanese internment camps, advertise this as AAPI, yet credit Ladys greatest struggle in becoming a therapist to her going to “stupid school” and not the discrimination she faces as an Asian woman in the 1940s? Being a therapist at this time is not only impossible because of her appearance or for attending “stupid school”, but just the matter of fact that she’s a woman.
My overall impression
Overall a great play! Just needed more research and adjustments.
