Hold That Thought While I Scream leaves the audience spellbound with its snappy (yet grounded) dialogue, delicate pacing, mesmerizing performances, and fearless exploration into the psychological effects of modern societal expectations. This character-centered show nods to great playwrights such as Martin McDonagh and Neil Simon, demonstrating how much drama, humor, and truth can be uncovered between two actors in just one location. A complete powerhouse of a play. Barrett has created a truly top-tier work on every level. The script and dialogue were incredibly woven together to create a universal and timely piece of theatre. This play grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go. This could be on Broadway, no doubt, and is only the beginning for these immensely talented and heart-felt storytellers.
