I love a period piece. The fancy telephone and costumes all teleported me back like a time machine. Although set in the 1940's, this piece is absolutely timeless. Barrett did a great job writing about universal struggles felt by all women in the world. I also loved the quick nature and snappiness. He has a gift for comedic timing. Felt very human and alive. A complete powerhouse of a play. Barrett has created a truly top-tier work on every level. The script and dialogue were incredibly woven together to create a universal and timely piece of theatre. This play grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go. This could be on Broadway, no doubt, and is only the beginning for these immensely talented and heart-felt storytellers. A must see!...
