the performance itself was superb – you know the hard work and craft are there, but it appears effortless
What I didn't like
I think there should be breast milk for all! like a tea service – jk, there is nothing to improve
My overall impression
I loved last year’s Medicine Woman and now Veronica delivers once again with this piece that makes motherhood seem like a horror story and shows the brain fog and hilarity of it all through real time interactions. Veronica herself is almost like a baby because she holds no false pretenses and appears to just be existing on stage letting hilarious words fall out of her mouth effortlessly. An act so fascinating you can’t take your eyes off of her. This joyous, honest and irreverent romp through motherhood feels like a fever dream. Why are we here in her living room when she’s trying to pump? Can anyone please help? Vernoica pulls us all into her world and leaves us mothers feeling a little less alone.
