What I liked
The acting and set design were on point!! The transitional music really roped the audience in tonally. The writing was sharp and witty, and the play did a lot with a little time.
What I didn't like
This should absolutely be longer!! I want a full-length version or a feature of this, 100%. The story felt like it was just coming together when then suddenly it was over (which maybe that was the point, but I wanted more!).
My overall impression
ALPS, ADIEU! is a hilariously dark play that plays a lot with the audience’s expectations! Wherever you think this is going to go, it goes in the total opposite direction! A ton of fun with the stage elements and breaking the fourth wall while telling a compelling story about what kind of control we have over our own lives.
