What I liked

Really felt like being let in on something spectacular, while still being able to give you the chills. I think it’s perfect material for Jon Schnitzer who, with his bushy beard and expressive, buggy eyes, is almost a dead ringer for Rasputin (complimentary).

What I didn't like

I wish we skipped the opening voice over of: “My grandmother had an imaginary friend, etc….” and just went to the voicemail. We learn very quickly that Bubbe Charlotte had a not-so-imaginary-friend. We don’t need that spelled out. Otherwise, it was just dynamite.

My overall impression

A really fun and oddly cozy mashup of horror and stand-up comedy. Something about Jon Schnitzer’s whole presentation here reminds me of Jonathan Frakes hosting “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction,” which I think Schnitzer would be perfect to host a revival of. And it PAINS me to say that, because that would also be my dream job.
