I loved the use of gesture, the bilingual nature of the characters, the poetic weaving of vignettes and stories, and the way the performer spoke so intentionally to everyone in the audience, as if we were trusted friends. It felt so intimate, relatable, and raw. I was very impacted by this show.
What I didn't like
Literally no notes. I really loved it.
My overall impression
Fringe is not yet over, but I think this may be my favorite show so far. Artfully executed, this solo show showcases a performer who truly understands the assignment of owning the stage and telling a story with her whole body and voice. Truly becoming each character, unraveling a tale in a non-linear but deeply spellbinding way, this artist covered so much emotional ground, it left me breathless.
