The humor. It’s a silly premise to get these ladies to sing, and everyone on the stage knows it’s a silly premise and nobody ever takes their tongue out of their cheek. The clever ad-libs that help the show get through transitions are delightful. And the character work is especially nice. Especially Pam.
What I didn't like
I saw the show for the preview so this will likely not be a problem when you, dear reader see this show, but the tech was all over the place. Lots of missed or late sound ques, no light was focused. And a projector was out.
But even then, the show worked. When sound ques were missed it just gave the ladies an opportunity to crack a joke about it, which ultimately made the show more charming. And the uneven lighting wasn’t a big deal because I could see them all. And the show would be exactly the same with no video at all.
My overall impression
This is a perfect example of a show executing on the promise of the premise. And in a super fun way.
