Honestly this show was EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE to people from a historically unproblematic area of America known as THE SOUTH. Do NOT see this if you like EVERYTHING about the AMERICAN SOUTH ...

As someone who grew up in the south I felt deeply validated and retraumatized by this show (in a good way). Sam is an unhinged performer who hits the gas at 1000% commitment on everything she does. She never misses a beat and runs with anything and everything the audience gives her. Peak clowning!...

Whelp, this country girl literally “made do” while performing with a hole-y tongue (NOT the religious, snake-handling backwoods kind). The artist incorporated her unfortunate mouth injury spontaneously into the piece with a series of slides at the top of the show and an offer to the audience to shout “Whut?” out loud if they couldn’t understand something she said with a mangled tongue and a Mizz’ippi accent. This show is Amphetamaic. Hog Wild. A feat of Rustic, Red-blooded, Resplendence. Sam is a performer of unmatched energy and presence, with a lot of love for the craft of clown and a spirit of pure hype. How many beers did she chug during this show? Impossible to know, but it didn't stop her from delivering an hour of belly-laughs, delightfully absurd theatrical constructs, and a sobering reminiscence on love and the stories make life feel special. Somehow, hidden pristinely in plain sight amidst all the wackiness, we are left with a question of who are we and what are we doing here? Highly recommend....

A hilarious, playful, character-driven clown show with tons of commitment and charm. Sam creates a world that feels both ridiculous and authentic, and I had such a great time spending an hour with her!...
