The performances from all three actors are exceptional. Talented Emily Clark is relatable and leads us on the show’s journey with incredible grace and poignancy. Charming Lucas Alifano plays the part like it was written for him. Jeff Scott carey is a fantastic balance between the two. And holy hell direction and script! – done by the same people Pamela Eberhart and Dan Testa who absolutely nail the dialogue keeping it natural and interesting while giving a masterclass in tension building. How do you keep a play interesting where two actors answer phones the whole time? Ask Pam and Dan! They pulled it off. What a team! Bravo to all involved!
What I didn't like
The ending felt a bit rushed but still effective. i think the timing parameters of fringe played a part. Seeing a full-length run at a theatre would take care of this.
My overall impression
ON THELINEFORBESTDRAMA! Finally! A show at Fringe that feels like a practically fully realized, polished, professional production. Would love to see what $$$ would do for a show like this. Could expand it, but it’s a pretty perfect 1-act. I left uncomfortable (as intended) and so pleased and relieved that my time wasn’t wasted.
