The show is flat out entertaining. The cast is able to balance humor and suspense while delivering social commentary that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Emily Clark as the sole woman working in the office shoulders the burden of maintaining the peace while under unnerving circumstances. Lucas Alifano is successful at making you wonder if he’s a true villain or if all men are just sleazy animals. The show is a great time and just the right amount of uncomfortable.

My overall impression
On the Line feels like an episode of a serialized suspense drama that never was. Its tone captures perfectly an 80’s piece that I’d watch too young late at night while being smartly written to actually have something to say regarding assault.
