My overall impression
TO be honest – quite brilliant. [SPOILERS AHEAD]. I loved the way physical comedy was interwoven in a piece where the entire premise is the character giving a speech. ESPECIALLY opening the wine bottle. I also loved all these little phrases Max kept returning to, like “settle down” or “I’ll see you at the [name of bar]” (sorry to the Broadwater but I forgot the name). They created this delicate seasoning for the show that really tied everything together. ALSO it was great. Great writing, great performing. Max is SUCH a committed performer in every sense of the word. I’d say don’t miss this, but the last show is 2 hours from now, so instead – maybe pray that he brings it back.
