I found myself feeling a lot of enjoyment and bafflement at the first half of the show as I got to learn about Frank Sriracha’s character, desires, mannerisms, style of joking around, pop culture references. (Glove spit… “Support, support!”) There were many quiet moments of tension for me between jokes that I really enjoyed—these same moments of tension would keep building up in me until I spasmed out in uncontrollable laughter. I really like the ways Max plays with tension. I ended up really enjoying the parts that were supposed to be sad moments with the character, because I found the whole situation we were in so surreal in the first place.
What I didn't like
Our promised branzino… gone…
My overall impression
Max’s commitment to Frank Sriracha’s commitment to egoic stability really sent me into hysterical laughter multiple times during this lovely show.
