My overall impression
Great show! Had a lot more fun that I expected. Really leaned into the campiness of the premise while taking itself seriously enough for you to still care.
You don’t often see fringe shows that make you want the longer version. If you were doing a longer version I would like to see more from underutilized actors. For example, the blonde journalist could sing well but didn’t have much to do and I would want more of her in any future iterations of the show.
I grew up in a town with a huge football team that sucked all the funds from the other parts of the school. I understand the plight of having 10 year old textbooks and students having to pay for their own instruments but the football team gets new equipment every season, so maybe I just overly sympathize with them.
Other standouts where the meteor (spoilers) and the guy who won Master Chef Jr.
