Excellent writing handled very well by the cast. Tom Szymanski is a stand out as he balances the past with Tyson (Zach Feiner) and the present with Tyson’s Widow (Emma Burnside); never leaving the stage. The moments where we seamlessly shift from past to present, often contradicting what actually happened were very well blocked and performed. This is a solid, grounded play with no need for bells and whistles to keep you engaged.
What I didn't like
There was not a lot of redeeming qualities in the titular character for me to care about him, but his impact on the other 2 characters was palpable and kept me caring for their sake.
My overall impression
A wonderfully executed 3-hander drama that explores 2 people connecting over the loss of a shared loved one and how to best honor his checkered legacy.
