What I liked
The performances elevated the material.
You clearly felt the actors didn’t simply perform the script, they brought authenticity and emotional depth that made the relationships believable and impactful.
What I didn't like
The only area for improvement wasn’t the production itself, but the theatre environment. Throughout parts of the performance, there was an intermittent ticking/beeping sound coming from outside the venue that occasionally pulled focus from the stage.
That said, it speaks volumes about the professionalism of the cast that they remained completely committed to the performance and never allowed the distraction to affect the story being told.
My overall impression
Three Eulogies is an extraordinarily well-written piece of theatre, elevated even further by the exceptional trio of actors who bring the story to life with remarkable authenticity and heart.
At its core, it’s a story about friendship, how relationships evolve, and change over time. It’s the kind of story that feels deeply personal, and judging by the reactions around me, I wasn’t the only one who found myself having a pivotal moment towards the end, quietly asking, “Wait… is this show about me?”. It holds up a mirror and forces you to see parts of yourself you weren’t expecting.
Funny, moving, and profoundly relatable, Three Eulogies is an exceptional piece of theatre.
