What I liked
The talent of each performer and as an ensemble was exceptional. The three cast mates are total pros and the direction is quite subtle and powerful all at once. The connections, transitions and moments all hit with a great deal of clarity and focus. Tom, in particular, stood out and provided a very powerful presence and dynamic range of emotion as support for the whole piece. Death and grief can be tricky material for an audience to connect to.. this story was handled with a masterful touch that allowed the eulogies and depth of feeling to create true connection.
What I didn't like
No notes! Just encouragement to keep on exploring the fresh and “in the moment”possibilities of this piece.
My overall impression
One of the strongest shows I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this Fringe Festival! An amazingly thoughtful and well written exploration of the complex relationships that can exist between our memories and perceptions, past and present, colored with grief. Top notch performances with great direction and production values make this a must see!
