This show had me thinking about it for the rest of the afternoon – truly the mark of an impactful story. I love when a writer leaves something vague/unconfirmed in the plot for the audience to decide because it allows each viewer to contextualize clues in the story according to their own life experiences.
So the story and the message was A+ for me. Using vignettes and flashbacks, with dialogue bleeding through, was clever and captivating. And the acting was superb.
What I didn't like
Although the director did an excellent job blending each vignette into each other and having distinct parts of the stage for each setting, the story could benefit from a smaller stage (not necessarily theater, but the actual stage)
My overall impression
A heart-wrenchingly relatable story of an imperfect friendship – well written and with impeccable performances. Instantly had me thinking of long lost friends in my life. Loved it.
