About the Project
Beachez, The Musical, a parody of Beaches, the movie, tells the story, through song, dance and comedy, of an unlikely friendship that begins on an Atlantic City beach and lasts a lifetime. CC Bloom is bold, talented, and forever chasing the spotlight, while Hillary Whitney is thoughtful, kind, and grounded in family and a law career. Though their lives take very different paths—one toward fame and applause, the other toward job and home—their bond—remains a constant, sustained by letters, laughter, and shared memories.
Through decades of growing up, growing apart, and coming back together, CC and Hillary learn that friendship—which becomes more romantic than the original—is more powerful than any love story with a man. Funny, heartfelt, and ultimately uplifting, Beachez, The Musical celebrates loyalty, forgiveness, and the people who walk beside us through every season of life.
