I Totally Would've Had a Threesome With You

What I liked

Saw this production last night and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Such great, deeply human performances. Smart script, smart production, really solid quality. The chemistry between this cast was electric! The contrast between Martine and Jamie’s intensity, Greg’s effortless charm, and Lydia’s nuance and depth was a personal highlight!

What I didn't like

Greg was funny and clearly a strong performance, just wished there was a little more depth to his relationship dynamics. The production is at its strongest when it leans into the messy, ungovernable desire at the play’s core, but occasionally the cast plays it a little too cleanly. For a story fundamentally about the chaos of young sexuality, there were moments that could afford to be more dangerous, more unhinged, more honestly horny. The material is brave enough to hold it and I’m nitpicking because this was exceptional work I want to see more of!

My overall impression

This is one of the best plays ive seen in awhile – at fringe and otherwise. Could see this cast going the distance via off broadway run or feature film!!
