The dialogue was incredible, the cast worked so well together and really rolled with the punches. The show balances high energy moments of comedy and deeper moments of painful truth so well.
What I didn't like
I just need to know when I’m seeing this show again and who I’m bringing with me!
My overall impression
What a whip-smart, heartfelt, and incredibly touching comedy! The cast had some of the best chemistry I’ve seen on stage in a long time, firing off the snappy dialogue effortlessly while also remaining rooted in the quieter emotional moments. Ellen’s writing transports you not only to the days of summer camp- but to the terrifying journey that is navigating young adulthood. She performs the hell out of a role she has written perfectly for herself, and somehow has also written perfect roles for the rest of her cast. I laughed, I cried, I left the theater feeling lighter than when I entered.
