I loved Bean’s energy and her relatability. I loved her vulnerability as she shared her deepest feelings with us.
What I didn't like
The show worked for me. I’ve seen it in different stages, and each time, the growth of Bean and the show itself is inspiring. Bean brings all the joy!
My overall impression
Bean (the joyful Midge Lema) takes the audience on a wild ride through space, time, and a very particular grief. Through weirdly fun little songs, robot dance moves, penetrating focus, and some unexpected audience engagement, Bean manages to hook us with her comedic storytelling just in time to drop us into her very authentic and poignant observations of the grieving process. Through her heartfelt monologues, I was encouraged and able to recognize some of my own manifestations of grief. Do Not Miss!
