The media sync was a standout for me — the news segments threading through the show added real depth and imagery to Powell’s storytelling, and worked perfectly as scene transitions, giving each new section a sharp, grounded entrance and exit.
What I didn't like
Honestly, hard to find anything — if anything, I’d want more of the news segment moments
My overall impression
McKinnon Powell walks on stage looking like Hollywood Jesus had a midlife crisis, and honestly? That’s the perfect setup for what follows. “6 Out of 10” is the story of chasing “perfect” in a town built on rejection — and Powell hands you the receipts, scars and all.
What got me wasn’t the jokes (though there are plenty, and they land) — it was how unguarded Powell is up there. That vulnerability makes the funny stuff funnier and the gut-punches hit harder. By the end, it didn’t feel like watching a show. It felt like being let in on something real
