At one point, Rose sings a love duet between Rosie and Rosie’s boyfriend, playing each part so expertly that you feel like you’re watching real romance unfold between two people even though it’s just one actor! It’s wildly good!

My overall impression
I was blown away by this show! The title character, Rosie, opens the show by bounding onto the stage with an adorable backpack and the energy of Dora the Explorer, but make no mistake, there is nothing frivolous or kiddie about this production. Evelyn Rose has written a smart and highly entertaining ode to OCD and regales us with songs and story that weave so seamlessly together you forget you’re watching a musical. The acting, music, singing and character work are all superb! It’s clear this piece has been expertly crafted – the story moved beautifully and I was captivated throughout. I left feeling teary eyed and more empathetic towards those in my life struggling with the challenges of anxiety and OCD.
