About the Project
Reed made something explode. “Kaboom!” is a hilarious and deeply personal solo show that traces Reed Rosenberg’s journey from a near-death experience to the front lines of substitute teaching. It’s a story about fire, failure, and the students who helped him forgive himself.
He welcomes the audience into his classroom for a blend of standup, storytelling, characters, and straight-up shenanigans. No actual fire will appear onstage because Fringe HQ said “absolutely not. Why would you even ask us that? Obviously we were going to say no” and then they punched him in the stomach. Like, a couple of times. Anyways, see you there!
Reed co-hosts and performs in “The Hottest Improv Show in Town” at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He can be seen in the upcoming features “California Skate” (Henry Winkler, Bridget Moynihan, Brooke Shields, Jay Mohr) and “Shadow of the Sun” (Danny Trejo). He’s also been in a number of History Channel shows, including “The Food That Built America”, which his parents get a real kick out of.
