What I liked
I loved the instruments on stage that she never really played until the end, I loved the songs, the jokes were tight – the projections on the back wall were STELLAR. Very well performed, but also beautifully directed! The letters from the men were a particularly awesome and startling choice. I lived.
What I didn't like
shut the fuck up! nothing she’s perfect. The toe scared the shit out of me. just kidding. Am I??
My overall impression
an absolute banger of a show – fabulous, alarming, high energy, hilarious, sad – all the good things. Julia is a powerhouse of a performer and does truly challenging, exciting and bold work in this show. Comedy is HARD, musical theater is HARD, writing is HARD. Julia does it all effortlessly and is doing in front of us what she was born to do. Kudos to the whole team!
