About the Project

Love is a battlefield they say, but you can’t get to the battle if you haven’t passed training camp. Maybe It’s You is a new musical comedy about one woman’s unshakeable (and slightly unhinged) hope of finding “the one.” As for Julia, a seemingly perfect woman, why has love been so difficult to find? What keeps going wrong? And how in the world will she be able to break this cycle?

With songs like, Single (Why am I Still Single), and I Love a Sick Boy, you won’t be able to get these love (horror) stories out of your head. Julia and her demons leave no stone unturned.

“Maybe it’s you” isn’t just a whim, it’s a philosophy. How love at first sight could literally be around any corner. Unfortunately for Julia, she rarely walks around corners. A show for the hopeful, the heartbroken, the chronically single, and for those still waiting…maybe it’s you.

Written and Performed by Julia Lopriore, directed by Mal Merpi, music production by Sterling Gavinski
