What I liked
The ensemble cast were great together, The writing, staging and direction were pro.
I enjoyed the newlywed game segment very much.
What I didn't like
The actor portraying Abe Lincoln felt to me like he could slow it down a bit and that might bring some clarity to the character choices. Abe being a little frantic and jumpy is funny, but I lost some of the words in the letter reading segments as a result of the speed at which it was all happening.
My overall impression
I really enjoyed this show! I wanted to encourage anyone interested in a fast paced and humorous exploration of the “was he or was he not” topic to catch this one. The cast is great. The production is solid. The audience is presented the known facts and history with letters as evidence so they can come to their own conclusions. Fun!
