With a stellar cast of some of the best emerging comedic actors in Los Angeles, Sister Wivez shifts the dramatic tension these characters face and uses it as a springboard for a Punchline Palooza. Sister Wivez is funny from start to finish. Two moments from teenster actors Jim Belden and Jordan Knapp nearing the end of the show’s run time leave you laughing your way into the dreadful El Centro upstairs bathroom holding your crotch, screaming with mirth and glee, hoping to not pee yourself. Good job Marta.
What I didn't like
It was 50 minutes and I could’ve watched for 15 more!! So I guess im just saying that the show is good.
My overall impression
Sister Wivez, although not related at all to Sister Act (as I initially suspected), still manages to deliver the laughs of a classic Whoopi Goldberg comedy. Instead of nuns, we are introduced to the world of a real-life cult. But this time, their antics and discoveries are more like those of the Stooges rather than the Manson family. If you are in LA in the month of June and you are looking to join a cult, look no further.
