My favorite part of the play was the interaction between Corey and Mona (I was so hooked) found myself wanting to cry due to the high emotions: the pain and frustration from Corey and Mona. Enjoyed how the lighting was used and distinguished where internal dialogue was being held and potentially transition music having a meaning. Love how Tonya was portrayed and a rule follower and her costume complimenting it such as well put together and slick ponytail representing “very square person” “stuck to the rules”. Overall, Corey did an amazing job throughout the play and finding myself getting mad at the character to crying a wanting to go and give the hug of how much I was invested.
What I didn't like
Something I would love more is if the play was longer as I was so invested in the characters and their timeline. Felt like I was hooked and wanted more of Mona and her story, more of Corey and his back story, and need answers to what’s next for Sam.
My overall impression
Overall, I enjoyed the play and how it written/ executed. Love how the audience was able to see both perspectives of the clients and the residential team. Left the play wanting more.
