The aesthetic, the humor, the heart, the acting, the lighting— I LIKEDEVERYTHING!!
What I didn't like
I sat close to the back, and actors needed to project in some quieter moments.
My overall impression
Beneath its cute exterior, Slumber Party is a thirty-minute powerhouse of a play that makes us think about what it means to be truly seen and loved. It is one of the best short plays I’ve ever seen, one that I would rush to see again if the opportunity presents itself. The characters are genuine, lovable, and hilarious, portrayed masterfully by three talented actors, and the Louisa Brott’s writing and directing felt so natural and real. This show makes you want to throw a slumber party of your own, but also makes you think about how we handle friendships as teenagers and learn to really see one another.
