What I liked
I really admired the tight runtime and Brott’s ability to paint a satisfying, fleshed-out story in a quick show. Loved the production design and cute jammies and even the hairstyles on the girls. Slumber Party was such a fun watch, and I think that’s the highest compliment, because isn’t that why we go to the theater –– to be entertained and delighted? Slumber Party certainly achieves this.
What I didn't like
I think I actually want to learn a little more boyband lore… just for fun. :)
My overall impression
Louisa Brott is a sparkling talent. Her production was meticulously designed, delightful to watch, and with such fun writing. The production vibrates with emotional honesty and truthfulness. The three actresses gave amazing performances. She cast, produced, and designed this piece so well.
