The actors, the set, the dialogue - every inch of this show evokes teenage girlhood in a way that feels fun rather than stale or sentimental. The characters may not feel joy the whole time, but I certainly did! I couldn't believe it was only half an hour long! So much is packed into thirty minutes that it both flies by and feels much longer - in the best possible way. This is a GEM of a show. Can't wait to listen to the soundtrack on repeat!...

Beneath its cute exterior, Slumber Party is a thirty-minute powerhouse of a play that makes us think about what it means to be truly seen and loved. It is one of the best short plays I’ve ever seen, one that I would rush to see again if the opportunity presents itself. The characters are genuine, lovable, and hilarious, portrayed masterfully by three talented actors, and the Louisa Brott’s writing and directing felt so natural and real. This show makes you want to throw a slumber party of your own, but also makes you think about how we handle friendships as teenagers and learn to really see one another. ...

What a delight! This transported me back to middle school (though the fights I had with friends were never quite so intense!)
This show was an honest depiction of the emotional rollercoaster of being a pre-teen / early teenage girl. I think teenage girls in media are often portrayed as either sex objects or complete jokes, and I appreciated that this showed that they are just as complex as any other character. I felt like we were laughing with them, not at them....

Wow what a special show! This story was so sweet while at the same time hitting me right in the heart with the coming of age nostalgia! This whole show does a great job of capturing that feeling of doom when something goes wrong in your preteens. ...

What an amazing show! So nostalgic yet fresh and exciting. I cried and laughed on loop. The actors did an amazing job at bringing the writing to life. I am so glad I got to see this show before the end of fringe. Louisa Brott is a name to remember!...

I was blown away with how engaged I was for the entirety of the show! Such a fun premise that many young women can relate to! I think if you had caught me at 12 or 13, I may have done the same thing as these girls!...

Everything from the writing to performances was steller. It felt I had unlocked an extra gay episode of Gravity Falls, that had me giggling and awwing all the way to curtain call. ...
