Amazing costumes, makeup, and energy from the whole cast and crew! So easy to tell that so much love and excitement went into this. Everyone worked so well together in each scene!
What I didn't like
I think you guys noticed this already, but the older crowd seemed to be more quiet and less reactive to the jokes—especially the more gen-z stuff. Which is fine because it doesn’t need a target audience of the entire world! But in that situation, I think it was harder to figure out when to pause and not pause for reactions. A good learning thing to keep in mind I guess from that is just to get a good feel of the audience early on and get comfortable removing some of the pauses—or adding more when they’re reacting more than usual!
My overall impression
I had the privilege of watching every performance of Jester, and I was blown away every time! Even though I knew what was coming, I was giggling and cackling, sometimes even more than previous times. The writing is incredibly clever, silly, and heartfelt. Every cast member fit their roles perfectly as well. Shoutout to the ensemble cast for switching personas so quickly and effectively! I’m so excited to see where you all end up next—you’re all so talented and cool and I hope you get rich and famous!
