What I liked
The main character Jestie, played by playwright Sydney Hollingsworth, was incredible – full of humor and passion. That brings me to the WRITING! Wow – so smart and comedic and deep and powerful. The balance of Shakespearean language and modern day phrases was perfect. The Court Jester played by Aidan Merck was not only funny but brooding and complex. All actors thrived and provided great comedic timing and both heartbreaking and heartwarming monologues. The costumes were flawless – super cute & fit the theme. The music made by Bailey Barton aka the King was fantastic. I could go on forever! I will be seeing this play again.
What I didn't like
Seeing the first show performed you would think there would be more hiccups but as the audience member I didn’t see any! Super impressive.
My overall impression
Jester! was an exceptional, enjoyable, hilarious play about loving those around you & fighting the power! Performances were great, writing & dialogue was genius, and all around vibes were impeccable!
