I fully did not expect to be crying bittersweet tears by the end of a show that features talking rats throwing a dance party.
What I didn't like
I wish the scene changes had been shorter/smoother. We were sitting in the dark for quite a while (cumulatively) but this may just be preview-night logistical issues. Due to the setting, it may actually fit better to have the scene changes happen in the light?
My overall impression
I was wildly unprepared for how good this show is. It begins as a silly Elizabethan standup set, but quickly builds to a complex story of queer love and political machinations. Although the setting is contemporary to Shakespeare, this show has a timely and paramount message for the modern day. Go see this show!!!
