What I liked
This show has really great characters and a world that invites its audience in to want to learn more!! The writing balances poetic and grounded well, and the space is used really effectively, with a lot of crossing of the space and minimal but very effective set design.
What I didn't like
Some of the scenes felt a little cyclical when talking about their relationship, and mixing them up a little more could help really build to that awesome finale. There’s also so much to dive into here that genuinely I just want more and would love to see a longer staged version!!
My overall impression
GLOSSOLALIA is amazing with incredible writing and set design! It plays perfectly into the recently popular Southern Gothic genre and feels ripe for expansion, either in another format or in a longer stage play. Give us more!!!
