For a show so intense, it is impressive how coherent and naturally flowing it was. The topics in the play were handled delicately but with a realism that communicates really well. I think the actors handled the nuances of the situation in a believable way and that there were many directorial bookends that really fit such a condensed story.
What I didn't like
There were a few set piece flubs and it was clear that there was a desire to fix it which was a bit distracting, but overall was handled smoothly by the actors and they were able to quickly recover!
My overall impression
Took a moment to process this show but what an amazing play!! I came with my friend and can confirm that it has the ability to make the most tolerant uncomfortable! Touching on “taboo” topics in a way that humanises but still condemns. Great work done by Aibhlinn and Michael, it was compelling, complex, and as polarising as it needs to be.
