What I liked
The performance was really incredible! Lacy really breathes life to the character of Cindy. I also really loved the tie-in with the notebook, and how that comes together at the very end. That kind of genuine emotional landing is tough to do in 30 mins in a solo show but Lacy does it really well. The inclusion of the voiceover counting down the timing was also great!
What I didn't like
Feels like a world to play in more! Would love to see a little more of how Cindy / living in the moment affects her and changes her behaviors or reactions to things. Maybe just means we need a longer show!
My overall impression
CINDY IS RIGHT NOW does a LOT with a little, really creating not just a fantastic character but also a genuine connection with the audience in such a short span of time.
