My overall impression

Good tight script, good tight acting, simple but effective direction. All of it good. No complaints. I was entertained from beginning to end.
I somehow wanted more though. I’m not sure what, but I wanted more. There was some minor inconsistency in the writing as far as character goes. But nothing jarring. I think I wanted to learn something or to get some insight into these ladies. But that’s probably my fault not the play’s. The play is what the play is not what I want it to be. And what it is is good.
I think maybe I wanted one of the ladies to disagree. There is one woman in the focus group that all of the women on stage disagreed with, I think it would have been far more compelling to me if that woman was one of the four. I wanted to hear her opinion, see why she felt the opposite way that every other woman felt. See where her life took her. That’s it, there was no dissenting voice, there was no counterpoint. Sure all of the women in the play are different, wildly different, and they all change by the events of the play, but they all essentially agree with each other. I would have liked for the opposition voice to be fully realized and not just mentioned.
