My overall impression

It’s rare when you find one developed female character on stage these days, but this play has four. They start out as “types,” but quickly reveal themselves to be complicated women striving for various goals, while still retaining their dignity and humanity. Playwright Alyson Mead has done a fine job showing what it’s like to be a woman in these days, while also calling out the retro sexism of the pen made for women. Danielle Ozymandias, the play’s director, keeps it simple with the four characters sitting in chairs on a blank stage. It’s fun to watch this very humorous show, and take away a few things to consider on the way home. A pen made for women, or to write your congressperson about something that’s bothering you? You get to decide, which is also something refreshing about this show. Great job!
