My overall impression

This witty and poignant script by Alyson Mead recounts a focus group discussing a dainty pen marketed towards women, through an interweaving monologue for four. The subtlety and simplicity of Danielle Ozymandias’ staging allows Mead’s script to shine, yielding non-stop laughter. Tiffany Rebecca Royale delivers a standout performance as the uptight attorney with a hidden heart of gold, Roxanne. Her deft characterization and understated power reminded me of Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada. With such vivid characters in The Other F Word, I only wish these actresses had the opportunity to interact. If you are looking for a night of laughs that will make you think, this is the play to see! This ensemble cast really puts the heart in Crooked Heart Theater. Brava!
