Jordan weaponizes humor to lampoon the self-help/wellness/health insurance industries. The humor is so fresh and surprising that there’s no way to predict even one joke’s punchline. Through her writing and spot-on performance, Jordan delivers a powerful statement about the charlatans who prey on the chronically ill. Even though the characters are spectacularly hilarious, Jordan also allows her audience to see a sincere glimpse into her life as a person who suffers from chronic pain through one character’s beautiful yet heartbreakingly vulnerable moment.
As Jordan’s mom, saying I’m proud of her is an understatement. Her talent is immense and obvious; however, I’m also so proud of what’s not that obvious to others: her daily fight against an extremely aggressive form of rheumatoid arthritis. She’s a warrior!
What I didn't like
The only thing I’d like to see different is for Jordan not to have chronic pain. What she accomplishes in spite of that pain is awe-inspiring.
My overall impression
Everything about this show is outstanding! Razor-sharp, unpredictable humor! Impeccable acting! Masterful directing! Rooted in her own experience with chronic illness, Jordan delivers a message that the world needs to hear!
