What I liked
Jordan Maranto is a spectacular writer and performer. I want a list of every absurd one-liner in this script, all of which Maranto delivers perfectly. And at its core, A You Problem is a sharp critique of those who prey on those desperate for relief from illness, injury, or any other kind of long-lasting pain or difficulty.
What I didn't like
While I adored both main personas in the show, I almost wish the second one had gotten a bit more stage time. It felt like that’s where we truly got into the core of the show, and I wanted more of it! But that is just a personal preference and truly a very minor detail.
My overall impression
A You Problem is a hilarious sendup of toxic self-help and wellness culture. Jordan Maranto does some serious heavy-lifting playing multiple personas. Each of them felt grounded and lived in, even in their most ridiculous moments.
