I have a bit of a special interest in the self-help guru/grifter milieu, and the instant Jordan stepped out from behind the curtain, I was already unable to contain my laughter because boy, did she just nail it. Her outfit, the way she spoke, the buzzwords she used, her every motion screamed at me the authentic behaviors of this sort of person, one that I am very familiar with. It helps that there are many clever bits which skillfully ride the line of absurdity while still feeling within the realm of what someone like this might actually say and do, which is a real tricky feat. Also Jordan is just funny as hell, dropping lines that got me like an atomic comedy bomb. It’s also evident that Hope, the director, had a very clear and precise vision as to convey the ridiculousness of this “industry,” making various choices in the staging and presentation that hone Jordan’s already strong focus to a razor point.
So yeah. I guess you could say I liked the show
What I didn't like
America’s healthcare system sucks. I know that’s not really about the show, but it should still be improved
My overall impression
If you miss this show, that is definitely a you problem and you really should work on it
