''The Trick'' and ''The Pearl''

What I liked

I enjoyed the writing in The Trick over The Pearl as I felt the performances in The Trick, particularly Artin Karimi as Pin and Loryn Jackson asYvette, were more fully explored and executed.

What I didn't like

I would have liked to have seen only one play that was developed a bit more with a stronger through line of action. I’m not sure that the two plays, although fine on their own, worked as companion pieces.

My overall impression

Two very different one-act plays by the same playwright, Joe Praml.
